A ribbon cutting ceremony was held February 26 for Junkin’ Jeanna’s at its new location, 435 Homer Road in Minden.
Originally established in Princeton, the business faced uncertainty after its landlord chose not to renew the lease due to other plans for the building. Owners were unsure whether they would relocate or close.
“We were leaving it in God’s hands, and then God sent Tracy Campbell along, and here we are,” said Susie Young, partner of Junkin’ Jeanna’s. “We had a team, and they said, ‘No, we’re not going to close it down.”
The store relocated to Minden, and its vendors made the move as well, resulting in a full inventory at opening.
“We have amazing vendors, and they followed us all the way from Princeton,” Young said.
Michelle Ringle, one of the vendors, expressed appreciation for the community’s reception.
“We are so very grateful, so honored, to be part of the Minden family. They have welcomed us here, and we are actually part of your family now, and we’ve only been here for 30 days. It is a privilege to be part of the City of Minden,” Ringle said.
The thrift and collectibles shop is open seven days a week from 10 AM to 4 PM.
