One of the greatest truths about daily living is that we do not ever know what is going to happen at any given moment. Even though the experiences of everyday life are often mundane, they can be exciting and challenging, at the same time. One may arise with their day planned down to the minute; and before they even leave home, their schedule can change quite radically. Or, one may not have any plans at all, and they have determined that the day will be quiet and uneventful, and before you know it, all chaos breaks loose. It is through these daily activities that we develop character, strength, and even perseverance.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that there is someone, who knows how the days will unfold, even though we do not; someone who prepares us for the surprises and the unknown events that are going to occur, and gives us the strength to endure whatever befalls us; someone who has our best interest at heart when no one else seems to be concerned; someone who lays out our lives in order so that we can be free to make choices and live it to the fullest.
In Genesis 2, verse 7 His Word says, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
Not only does he know what is going to happen before it happens; and can change it in the twinkling of an eye, he also created each of us in His Image.
That is a really neat thought……So, use those calendars and daily to do lists, but don’t be surprised when something comes along to change the schedule…..after all, we are all on His timetable.
