LA FREEDOM CAUCUS SUPPORTS FIRST SLATE OF CRIME BILLS

by Minden Press-Herald

The members of the Louisiana Freedom Caucus have closely examined bills that have been passed through committee and have been brought to the floor for passage in the respective chambers of the legislature. The bills listed below are supported for final passage if they remain unchanged on their journey to final passage in the House and Senate respectively.

“The Louisiana Freedom Caucus takes seriously the rampant crime problem in Louisiana today. We are grateful to Governor Jeff Landry for calling this special session to deal with these issues. So far, so good on the bills receiving floor debate and action today and we look forward to dealing with the next slate of bills,” said Beryl Amedée, Chairman of the Louisiana Freedom Caucus. “Should any of these bills be amended in either chamber as we move forward, we will again assess our level of support.”
