LADA Congratulates President Will Green on New Role with LABI, Opens Executive Search

by Minden Press-Herald

BATON ROUGE – (September 26, 2023) The Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association (LADA) confirmed today that after serving the association well for nearly eight years, President Will Green will resign from his role to join the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry. LADA is now launching an executive search for a new president.

“We are thrilled for Will to continue advocating for business and industry at the highest level in our state. Will’s work on behalf of Louisiana’s new car and heavy truck dealers – and the communities they live, serve and invest in – has been exemplary,” LADA Board of Directors Chair Kristie Hebert said. “Will, our association members and board have made great strides in elevating LADA’s stature, and we are excited to begin a national search for an accomplished, passionate, CEO to continue our work.”

Green’s leadership at LADA helped ensure Louisiana remains a state that allows new car and heavy truck dealers to thrive, create well-paying jobs, and supply reliable automobiles to Louisianians.

“Working together, we have achieved so much at LADA, including defending against harmful business and tax legislative measures, implementing new job training programs and protecting Louisiana’s franchise system,” said Green. “Moving forward, I know LADA is well-positioned to continue the success and we will work together to promote the broader goal of a strong Louisiana economy.”

In 2022 alone, Louisiana’s new car and heavy truck dealers generated $19.1 billion in total sales, producing more than $733 million in sales tax revenue for the state and supporting 36,541 total direct and indirect jobs. More recently, the association representing nearly 250 new motor vehicle car and heavy truck dealers relocated its headquarters to the heart of downtown Baton Rouge.

“We’re on a forward trajectory,” replied Hebert. “As we look ahead, we are excited to grow as an organization and continue creating valuable opportunities for our state, our communities and our membership.”
