Lakeside dominates in cross country

Running on one of the premier courses in the South, Alisa Lander destroyed the competition winning the 5K race by one minute 50 seconds. Lander covered the Mississippi College course running a 19:50. The Division II High School race featured 98 runners.

Eric Greene ran in the gold division, which featured 144 of the top runners in the south, placed 7th with a time of 16:43.

In the varsity boys Division 2 race, Cody Robinson placed 2nd at 17:44. J.R. Mueller placed 90th at 20:52. There were 120 runners in this division.

The Lakeside Jr. High boys team finished fifth out of 12 teams in the 3200 meter boys race. Tyler Davis lead the way finishing 2nd at 12:02. Logan Baily finished 8th at 12:34. Chase Mitchell, in his first cross-country race, finished 25th at 12:13. Bradley Silvis finished 66th at 15:13 while Charles Lander finished 100th at 18:14. There were 112 runners in the race.

Mikayla Wynatt lead the Jr. High girls finishing 67th (18:50). Angelina Futch was 97th (20:52) and Melody Barracla was 103rd (22:12). There were 122 runners in this division.
