Lakeside dominates North Caddo

by Minden Press-Herald

Lakeside ended a three-game losing streak with a 79-44 blowout win over North Caddo on Tuesday night in Sibley.

The Warriors improve to 14-12 and 3-3 in district. Lakeside currently sits on the bubble of the 2A state playoff picture.

“What’s really hurt us this year is not having many quality wins,” Lakeside head coach Marlon McDaniel said. “Playoffs is a sensitive subject for us right now, but has been a goal since the beginning of the season.”

Orlando Roberson led Lakeside with 20 points, including four first-half threes to help the Warriors off to a healthy lead at the break.

Branthony Brown continued his impressive offensive output, dropping 17 points with 15 of them coming in the second half.

“The remaining scheduled games are against tough opponents,” McDaniel said. “We’re going to have to compete to show that we deserve to be in. We want in. We have to go out and play like that every night.”

The Warriors play D’Arbonne Woods Charter (9-20, 0-6) on Friday on the road. D’Arbonne Woods is winless in district this season.
