JONESBORO – The Lakeside Warriors were hoping for a win to go into the final week of the season with some momentum, but it wasn’t meant to be as Lakeside fell to Jonesboro-Hodge 50-35.
The Warriors were tied with Jonesboro-Hodge 20-20 at halftime despite poor shooting across the board.
Lakeside only mustered 15 second-half points.
“The first half was nip and tuck,” Lakeside head coach Jason Gould said. “In the second half the lid closed on the rim. It was one of the worst shooting nights I’ve ever seen us have. It was kind of the story of the game.”
Monty Willis led Lakeside with 15 points, Michael Bradford had seven points and Djimon Lard had seven points.
The Warriors will return home to face Red River on Tuesday night in Sibley, before wrapping up their season with another home game against North Caddo on Friday.
