Lakeside hardly sweats in 17-0 route of Lakeview

SIBLEY – The Lakeside Warriors overpowered the Lakeview Gators Tuesday at home, jumping on their visitors early and never taking their foot off the gas en route to a 17-0 victory.

Josh Prince starred at the plate and on the mound for the Warriors. Prince pitched three innings and struck out five batters to earn the win while going 3-3 with two doubles and 3 RBIs at the plate. His big day moves his batting average to a staggering .556.

Dalton Crumpler went 2-3 with 3 RBIs for Lakeside, followed by Gavin Jones and Brayden Jones going 2-2 with a a pair of singles and 2 RBIs each. Jake Gray doubled and singled, adding an RBI to his day. Jayke Stewart went 2-3 with an RBI single and Tanner Page went 1-3 with a triple.

With the win, Lakeside’s record improves to 8-10 after a rocky start. The Warriors also move to 5-0 in district play.

Up next for Lakeside, a road trip to Campti for another matchup with the Gators. That game is set for Thursday at 5 p.m.
