The Warriors competed hard the whole game and were still in it at halftime, but the Gators got going in the second half and cruised to the finish line.
“The first half wasn’t too bad for us,” Lakeside head coach Jason Gould said. “We trailed by nine and felt we were still in the game, but they picked it up in the second half we were just outmatched and out-sized. Lakeview is such a big team.”

The Warriors trailed 31-22 at the half, but Lakeview pushed that lead into the 20’s in no time to end all hope.

Monty Willis was the only Warrior in double figures, finishing with 14 points to lead the way. Jalen Gould, still trying to get back in the groove off an injury, finished with eigh points and Damion Coleman added six points.

Lakeside takes on Jonesboro-Hodge on the road Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
