NATCHITOCHES – Alisa Lander continued her outstanding season with another championship at the NSU Pre-State meet at NSU. The Lakeside Sophomore ran a personal best of 18:39 over the 3-mile course which will be used as the state championship course in November. Lander defeated a quality field of 160 runners. Runner-up Sara Funderburk of Parkway was 10 seconds behind Lander at 18:49.
On the boys’ side Eric Green once again led the way for the Warriors running a 16:20 for 2nd place. Hayden Kingfisher of Parkway won the race at 15:51. Finishing 9th for the boys was Cody Robinson at 17:38. Tyler Davis was 45th at 18:26. Logan Baily ran 20:19 for 107th. There were 193 runners in the boys’ division.
In the girls’ division Angelina Futch was 142 at 30:37. Melody Barraclough finished 155th at 34:15.
On Saturday, November 1, the Warrior Junior High team will participate in the Jr. High State Championship. On Saturday, November 8, Lakeside will host its Ant-Hill Invitational at the Minden Recreation Complex.

Thank yall for reporting on this, I’ve missed seeing it. I can’t wait to see them run The Anthill Race at the rec center Nov 8th.
