LDEQ announces approval for electronic reporting under CROMERR

by Minden Press-Herald

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) is thrilled to announce that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the LADEQ Regulatory Services Portal for electronic reporting under the Cross-Media Electronic Reporting Regulation (CROMERR).

This move simplifies the reporting process for several critical environmental programs in our state. With this approval, LDEQ can now accept electronic reports for the following: National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP)—State Operating Permit Programs (Clean Air Act Title V)—National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)—National Primary Drinking Water Regulations—General Pretreatment Regulations—State Hazardous Waste Programs—Underground Storage Tank Standards—Asbestos Reporting.

“This is a great leap forward for us,” said Aurelia S. Giacometto, Secretary of LDEQ. “The new portal makes it easier for businesses to submit their reports and helps us manage environmental data more efficiently.”

LDEQ encourages everyone to stay connected with us as we implement CROMERR, our electronic permitting system, and to contact us if they have any questions or concerns. The EPA will soon announce this approval in the Federal Register, further emphasizing the collaborative efforts to improve environmental management in Louisiana.
