The Greater Minden Chamber hosted its inaugural “Leading Legacies: A Women in Business Event” on Friday at the Minden Civic Center, drawing professional women from across the region for a day of workshops, leadership development, and community-building.

The event featured a series of interactive sessions, including a table talk speed networking segment and two deep dive discussions. Attendees explored “The Art of Saying No: Boundaries for a Healthier Work-Life Balance” and “Fearless Leadership: How to Lead with Confidence & the Power of Paying It Forward.” Additional topics presented during the event included women’s health, navigating male-dominated industries, balancing career and family, and fostering collaboration over competition in business.

Lauren Haydel, founder and Chief Treasure Hunter of Fleurty Girl, delivered the keynote address, sharing personal insights and professional experiences that have shaped her entrepreneurial journey.

“Our inaugural Leading Legacies Women in Business Event was a beautiful success, and we are incredibly grateful to every woman who attended and to those who led meaningful discussions throughout the day,” said Stephanie Barnette, president of the Greater Minden Chamber. “We hope each guest left feeling empowered, encouraged, and truly loved. This event would not have been possible without the support of our amazing sponsors—especially our presenting sponsor, Catherine C. Hunt, Realtor. Together, we created something special that we hope to build on and will inspire for years to come.”
