Linda Stevenson Burton, 70, of Sibley, passed away Nov. 2, 2016 in Shreveport from a hemorrhage stroke. She was laid to rest on Nov. 5, 2016 at Garden of Memory with her family and friends honoring the beautiful person she was. Her sweet sister-in-law Doris Faye Carter spoke in regards to her.
Linda was born in Kilgore, Texas on June 16, 1946. She recently retired from driving a handicap school bus of 17 years. She was a full time mother and housewife prior to driving. She was a very amazing selfless and caring mother and grandmother. She graciously raised her handicapped grandson from age 2 to 16 (present). Chase brought so much joy to the entire family. She was loved by everyone who crossed her path. The memory of her precious love will forever be cherished in our hearts. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Stevenson and Evelyn Childs Stevenson; sister Gloria Mangrum and ex-husband Jerry Burton.
Linda is survived by her brother Billy Gene Stevenson; sisters Doris Crow and Patricia Stevenson; daughters Toni Rausch and Kristi (Bobby) McKan; son Andrew Burton; five grandchildren Erica Coleman, Forrest (Kayla) Coleman, Robin Burton, Chase Lapinsky and Ashlyn Burton; three step grandchildren Case, Corey, and Ty McKan; two great grandchildren Taylor Coleman and Kennedy Coleman; dear friend and brother-in-law JL Mangrum. Linda had a large extended family who she loved very much.
