The Minden Lions Club will host guest speaker Matthew Hough during its noon meeting on Thursday, April 9.
Hough, a Shreveport native who was raised in Mooringsport, currently serves as Regional Director for the Coastal Conservation Association of Louisiana and as the organization’s Impact Team Coordinator. In those roles, he works to support coastal conservation efforts across the state while organizing community-based volunteer events and outreach initiatives.
He began his career with Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers as a crewmember and rose through the ranks to become the youngest general manager in the company’s history before advancing to the role of restaurant partner.
In his current position, Hough helps lead partnerships, events, and fundraising efforts aimed at protecting Louisiana’s coastal fisheries while connecting communities and businesses to conservation initiatives.
The Lions Club meets at noon at the American Legion Memorial Hall, located at 119 Pine Street.
