The deadline to enter the Little Miss Minden Pageant is fast approaching.

Kristen Starkey, of the Young Women’s Service Club, said parents must have their entry forms and $50 entry fee turned in by Friday.
The pageant is set for 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 12.

Admission is $5 per person and children ages 2 and under are free.

Categories include Baby Miss Minden, ages 0-24, Toddler Miss Minden, ages 25 months to 4 years, Petite Miss Minden, ages 5 to 7 years, Little Miss Minden, ages 8 to 10, Pre-Teen Miss Minden, ages 11 to 12, and Junior Miss Minden, ages 13-14.

Miss Minden 2016 Macey Colvin will emcee Little Miss Minden.

“There is an optional Miss Photogenic award in each category,” Starkey said. “There’s an additional $10 fee, and they just mail in their photo and their extra $10 with their entry form.”

The older winners from throughout the day will have the opportunity to assist in award presentations during the Miss Minden Pageant that night, she said.

Entry forms are available at Al-N-Way Cleaners, Fanette’s Flower House and Beyond the Alley Boutique. Starkey says they can be turned in at the Wimberly Agency, located at 218 Broadway Street or mailed to P.O. Box 482 Minden, LA 71058.
