Living Word Minden will host its annual bicycle and tablet outreach Saturday, December 20, offering free bicycles, tablets and sports equipment to local children ahead of Christmas.
The event will be held at Victory Park in Minden, with registration beginning at 11:30 AM. Organizers said more than 100 bicycles and more than 20 tablets will be distributed at no cost to families.
Pastor Trey Waller said the outreach is intended to support families and provide children with gifts during the holiday season.
“Our upcoming Bike Giveaway is a reminder of how generous our God is. We love our community and want everyone to know how good God is,” Waller said.
“We do it just before Christmas each year so that kids who may not have many presents under the tree can have a Christmas to remember,” he said.
“This is going to be our biggest year ever. We are excited to be giving away 150 bikes, 40 tablets, basketballs and footballs. God is so good!”
Living Word Minden hosts the outreach annually as part of its community service efforts during the Christmas season.
