Funeral services for Lois Cole Gurgainers, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with Bro. Jimmy West officiating and her brother Junior Cole, speaking. Graveside services will follow at Bistineau Cemetery in Heflin. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Lois was born Feb. 8, 1940 in Alexandria and passed away July 6, 2016 in Shreveport after a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her father Elbra Cole and mother Willie Mae Cole, one brother, Wallace Cole, two sisters, Elaine Cole and Margaret Deville, and grandson Heith Austin.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Gurgainers, of 59 years, daughters Pam and husband Carl Grice of Sibley, Becky McEachern, Sandra and husband Gary Austin, Missy Gurgainers, son Phillip Gurgainers and wife DeeDee, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which was her pride and joy. She is also survived by her brothers Elbra Jr. and Dee Cole, Jerry D. and Bertha Cole, Henry and Melinda Cole, Rickie and Candace Cole, Michael Cole, and sisters Susie Smith, Shirley and Pete Salzer, and Debbie and Issac Navarre.

Pallbearers will be her brothers: Elbra Cole Jr., Jerry D. Cole, Henry D. Cole, Rickie Cole, brother-in-law, Issac Navarre, and nephew Dale Cole.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Cole and Troy Gurgainers.
