The LSU AgCenter’s Webster Parish Extension Office will offer a hands-on charcuterie class focused on balanced snacking Monday, July 21, from noon to 1:30 PM.
Titled MyPlate Meets Charcuterie 101, the class will be led by Dr. Shakera Williams, Associate Extension Agent for Nutrition and Community Health serving Webster and Claiborne parishes.
The workshop is designed to help participants build charcuterie boards that are both visually appealing and aligned with USDA MyPlate nutrition guidelines. Attendees will learn how to craft snack boards that are flavorful, creative, and health-conscious.
“This class is for anyone who wants to snack smarter or is prepping for their next gathering,” Williams said. “Balanced snacking has never looked (or tasted) this good.”
The cost to attend is $15 per person. Space is limited, and early registration and payment are encouraged. To register, call 318-371-1371 or email [email protected].
The class will be held at the Webster Extension Office. Participants are invited to bring their appetite, creativity, and a friend.
