Wendy King, lunchroom manager at North Webster Upper Elementary School, was recognized as the Webster Parish School Board’s Employee of the Month during the board’s regular meeting Jan. 12.
The recognition was presented by Benji Maher of Taylor and Sons, who read a letter of recommendation highlighting King’s work with students and staff.
“Ms. Wendy goes above and beyond for the students here. She is knowledgeable about her tasks and makes sure the students’ needs are fulfilled. She greets all students and staff daily. Her smile is amazing. She speaks with kindness, and that gesture alone lights up the room. She is truly one of a kind,” the letter stated.
King was recognized for her dedication to students and her daily role in the operation of the school’s cafeteria, which serves North Webster Upper Elementary School.
The Webster Parish School Board will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, February 2, at the school board offices in Minden. The meeting will be open to the public.
