A Crossett, Arkansas, man was taken into custody Tuesday after a vehicle theft reported at the Deli Stop in Sibley.
According to the Sibley Police Department, an officer was flagged down around 9:30 AM by a woman who reported that her Ford truck had been taken by her boyfriend, identified as Thomas Miles, 46. She told officers Miles kicked in the rear window to enter the vehicle and pulled her from it before driving away north on Highway 371 toward Minden.
A short time later, the Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Office notified Sibley police that the truck had been located near the Arcadia exit on Interstate 20. Miles was found nearby and arrested by Bienville deputies.
Bienville authorities later informed Sibley police that Miles was in custody. He was picked up by Sibley officers and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center for booking on a charge of unauthorized use of a movable.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
