Services for Margaret Keeling, 85, of Flint was at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster Chapel. Burial followed in Roselawn Park. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Keeling died Friday at Cartmell Home for Aged. She was born Jan. 29, 1930 in San Antonio to Elbert Eugene and Mary Lucile Lamon Dotson. Mrs. Keeling was a homemaker. She loved cooking and homemaking. Mrs. Keeling was a Baptist. She graduated from Woodhouse High School in 1948. She married her husband John T. Keeling Dec. 17, 1948. She and her husband loved camping and “literally wore out five camping trailers.”
Mrs. Keeling was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Billy E. Dotson. She is survived by her husband of 67 years John T. Keeling of Flint, a son Johnnie Keeling and wife Sherry of Elkhart, a brother John D. Dotson of Sunrise Beach, Texas, and two grandchildren, Christine Keeling and John Bryant Keeling and wife Bonita, two great-grandchildren Ela Keeling, and Maddie Keeling, all of whom were the light of her life.
Pallbearers will be Rob Dotson, Jerry Dotson, Rusty Dotson, Rowdy Dotson, Steve Gilbreath and Kenneth Bolding.
Visitation was one hour before the service at 2 p.m.
