Emily Martin, granddaughter of Patsy McKenzie and niece of Kenny and Melanie Coile of Springhill, signed a Letter of Intent on National Signing Day to play soccer at The University of Texas in Austin. Emily verbally committed to the Longhorns her sophomore year in 2014, and she officially signed on Feb. 3. Emily is one of seven high school seniors to sign a Letter of Intent with the Longhorns who were ranked as having the 15th best recruiting class in the nation and the #1 class in the Big Twelve Conference.

Emily plays club soccer for Heat FC 98 in the Elite Clubs National League, which consists of 75 of the most accomplished women’s soccer clubs in the United States.
