The Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on warrants after he reportedly stole thousands of dollars in cash.
Marquette Juwan Burks, 20, of the 700 block of Central School Road, was arrested on warrants for simple burglary and no seat belt.
Deputies say the theft occurred around 3 p.m., Monday, Sept. 5. He reportedly went through a woman’s purse and took the cash. The purse was in the victim’s vehicle in her driveway in the 200 block of Hartwell Street.
Burks was arrested at his residence and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
