A Minden man was allegedly caught with suspected drugs in his vehicle following a traffic stop by the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Kenneth Wayne Crow, 33, of the 100 block of Roosevelt Drive, was arrested Tuesday, July 7, and charged with possession of marijuana and cited for no turn signal. Bond was set at $1,250.

According to reports, Webster Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Marshall Merritt initiated a traffic stop when he noted a vehicle turning without using a turn signal. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Crow, he smelled a strong odor of what he believed to marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

Reports indicate Crow admitted to throwing out a “dime bag” of marijuana before pulling over. Merritt asked for consent to search the vehicle.

Upon consent, the search revealed a small plastic baggie believed to contain marijuana.

Crow was placed under arrest on the above charges and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
