Virginia Faciane of Minden inspects one of her several banana trees. Faciane has has been gardening since a young age, but her passion for bananas blossomed in the 80s when her mother bought their first banana trees from a green house in Sibley. This will be the first year Faciane has had a full harvest since the 90s. “I’ll make a lot of banana pudding,” Faciane said with a laugh when asked what she would be doing with the large harvest of bananas.
