Minden St. Jude Auction celebrates 50 years with heartfelt theme

by Will Phillips

The 50th Annual Minden St. Jude Auction is set to kick off with an inspiring theme that reflects five decades of community spirit and generosity: “Thank You for Being a Friend.”

“We are excited to have ‘Thank You for Being a Friend’ as our theme this year to go along with our 50th auction to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!” said event organizer Laura Hollingsworth. “It just made sense, as we have had so many great friends over the years. Contributors, volunteers, patients, and their families, our community — the list and relationships are endless and very special to our event. So thanking 50 years of friendships working for the same important cause of defeating childhood cancer just seemed right all the way around!”

The Minden St. Jude Auction will take place from Thursday, February 6, to Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Minden Civic Center in downtown Minden. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be broadcast live on KASO-AM 1240 and KBEF-FM 104.5, as well as on Optimum cable channel 11 and the event’s website, mindenstjude.com.

Participants can look forward to an exciting weekend filled with raffles, auctions, activities, and opportunities to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The website offers schedules, sponsor information, raffle and Grand Prize ticket sales, T-shirt orders, and updates as the event approaches. A gallery showcasing moments from past auctions is also available online.

Community members are encouraged to stay connected through the event’s website and its social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news.
