A Minden woman was arrested on Thursday at Walmart on Homer Road after being accused of shoplifting and found to have multiple outstanding warrants, according to Minden police.
Officers responded to the store on September 4 around 4PM after receiving a report of theft. Walmart security had detained Veronica Taylor, 60, of Minden, for allegedly stealing $25.31 in miscellaneous items.
A records check revealed Taylor had an active bench warrant through Minden Police Department and an active arrest warrant through Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Taylor was taken into custody without incident, read her rights, and transported to Minden Police Department for booking.
In addition to the warrants, she was charged with misdemeanor theft.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
