SIBLEY — The 2016 Lakeside Miss Pageant will be held this Saturday.

Tickets are $4 and are available at the door. The pageant begins at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. The pageant will be held in the Lakeside Jr. High Gymnasium. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Lakeside Yearbook and Student Council.

School officials are hopeful for a large turnout to see the crowning of the 2016 Lakeside Miss but also to help support the school yearbook and student council.

“Our yearbook and student council are completely self-funded,” Lakeside Principal Denny Finley said. “They raise all of their own money. Some of their projects are expensive and this is one of their biggest fundraisers. I hope our whole community turns out to see who wins the crown but also to support our yearbook and student council.”

Reigning Lakeside Miss Misty Swilley will be in attendance to crown the 2016 pageant winner. The eight contestants competing for the title of Lakeside Miss include Katelynn Bowers, Chelsea Cummings, Kaylee Davis, Ally Doyle, Lindsey Hambrick, Ashley Nunn, Sommer Laliberte, and Hannah Shively.
