Hosted in Conjunction with National Championships
The Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission (SBSC) in partnership with the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) is proud to announce the hosting of the “Recruit Me” Beastmaker Combine, coinciding with the NCWA National Championships scheduled to take place in Shreveport-Bossier City from March 14 – 16, 2024.
“Bossier City is proud to host the ‘Recruit Me’ Beastmaker Combine,” said Sara Nelms, director of sports for SBSC. “On behalf of the sports commission team and the Shreveport-Bossier community, I would like to thank the organizers for entrusting us to host this event. We love the fact that we can offer this experience to our local and regional amateur wrestlers. We know Shreveport-Bossier is an incredible destination and the perfect location to host major events. That coupled with the dedication of a knowledgeable team allows us to successfully host and help create a substantial economic impact for our area.”
The “Recruit Me” Beastmaker Combine offers a unique opportunity for high school juniors and seniors, as well as their parents, to showcase their skills, connect with collegiate wrestling programs, and explore potential scholarship opportunities. This event is open to both male and female wrestlers.
Scheduled on Wed., March 13, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the combine will be held at the Brookshire Grocery Arena located on Brookshire Arena Drive in Bossier City, LA, USA.

- General Admission (Feb 13 to March 12): $40
- Late Admission (on March 13 – day of event): $50
“We are thrilled to offer this platform for aspiring collegiate wrestlers to showcase their talent and connect with potential programs,” said Jim Giunta, executive director of NCWA. “The ‘Recruit Me’ Beastmaker Combine is not only an opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their skills but also for parents to engage with universities regarding academics, scholarship opportunities, and alternative tuition funding.”
Parents accompanying their athletes are admitted free of charge and are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the collegiate wrestling landscape.
