Minden Medical Center hosted National Senior Health & Fitness Day on Wednesday at the Minden Recreation Center, drawing a significant turnout.
The event featured various healthcare resources to educate the community on available services, exercise demonstrations, and door prizes. Coffee and donuts were provided by the Webster Parish Council on Aging, lunch by Town & Country Health & Rehab, and bingo by Meadowview Health & Rehab.
Approximately 100,000 seniors nationwide participated in the event, which aimed to promote active, healthy lifestyles through physical fitness, good nutrition, and preventive care. The health fair expo encouraged seniors to commit to healthier living through improved health and fitness.
