News and Notes: Spring Game coming up plus registration for summer camps


Minden High football will be back on the practice field today as they prepare for the Spring Game.

On May 20 at 6 p.m. the Tide will play host to Richwood as head coach Spencer Heard will get a first look at this season’s team.


The Minden Baseball Instructional Camps will begin later this month, with four  different sessions aimed at ages 5-13.

The camps will have coaches, Minden High players and led by Coach Dean Francis.

Registration forms can be picked up at Minden Athletic and are also available for download here:


Webster Junior High basketball camp will be conducted Tuesday, May 28 through Friday, May 31 at the school from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

The camp is open to any student entering grades 4-8.

The goal is to develop and expose the student’s athletic talents and assist them with mastering the fundamentals of basketball.

Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt and a certificate of participation.

Coach Brown and Coach Bailey of Minden High and Byron Smith of Prarie View A&M will be guest speakers.
