Meteorologists say Easter weekend will be a pretty one, but a small chance of thunderstorms is likely early Sunday morning.
Aaron Stevens, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Shreveport office, says the skies will be beautiful Good Friday and Saturday.
“Good Friday is going to beautiful, sunny, highs in the mid-60s,” he said. “Northeast winds around five miles per hour, and it’s going to be mostly clear in the evening with lows in the 40s. So, Saturday morning is going to be a little chilly.”
Saturday will be another beautiful day with highs in the 70s, he said. Saturday evening, clouds should be moving in with a 20-30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms coming in just after midnight Sunday morning.
“When you wake up Sunday to go to church, lows will be in the mid-50s,” he said. “Highs will be in the mid-70s, and Sunday night, we’ll have a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms with lows in the mid-40s, clearing out Monday.”
