by Minden Press-Herald

Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College has successfully attained  reaccreditation through the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied  Engineering (ATMAE) for its Industrial Instrumentation and Electrical Technology program.  This ATMAE accreditation is a nationally recognized credential that affirms the program’s  academic excellence, industry relevance, and ongoing commitment to continuous  improvement.

Amy Good, Managing Director of Accreditation for ATMAE, explained in the announcement  that “ATMAE accredited programs equip students with the knowledge, skills, and hands on  experience needed to excel in today’s fast paced workforce. Through the dedication of  faculty and administrators, these programs not only meet high academic standards but  also prepare graduates to immediately contribute to industry and drive innovation.”

The accreditation process is a thorough peer reviewed evaluation that examines  curriculum, faculty expertise, instructional methods, and student outcomes. The  organization is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation which affirms  the credibility and national significance of its review process.

Chancellor Dr. Jayda Spillers emphasized that the reaccreditation reflects the continued  momentum of the program and thanked Heath Holley, Dean of Manufacturing Technology,  for his leadership and support throughout the process. She stated, “We are proud to see  this recognition continue. Our students benefit from a program that stays current with  industry needs, and they learn from instructors who bring valuable experience into the  classroom. This reaccreditation reinforces the quality of the training we provide and the  opportunities it opens for our graduates.”

With this reaccreditation, NLTCC continues to uphold its mission of preparing students to  meet the growing demands of regional and national industry. To learn more about NLTCC’s educational offerings, visit nltcc.edu or call 318.371.3035 to speak to a member of our  student services team
