Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College will offer an Employment Preparedness and Workforce Readiness (EMPWR) Foundations course beginning October 26 at its Minden campus, with scholarships available to help cover tuition.
The program provides training in construction and industrial workplace skills, including safety, hand and power tools, blueprint reading, communication, and equipment operation.
Participants will have opportunities to earn multiple industry-recognized credentials, including NCCER Core, OSHA 10, CPR, and forklift training.
Classes will run through December 11, meeting Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 3:30 PM and Friday from 8 AM to noon. Tuition is $2,495.
The course is offered at both the Minden and Shreveport campuses.
