Webster Parish athletes have been shining bright as of late, and the latest to turn heads is North Webster’s Rico Gonzalez.
Recently, Gonzalez traveled to Dallas for a regional showcase to test his skills against some of the South’s best talent and he didn’t disappoint.
Gonzalez turned in an impressive overall score of 103.47, good enough to put him through to the regional finals which will be held in both New Orleans and Houston. Gonzalez is unsure of which event he will attend.
The Nike Opening events test athletes with a range of customized exercises and drills designed to accurately portray overall athleticism.
