NWS: Line of severe storms move across north Louisiana

by Associated Press

SHREVEPORT — The National Weather Service says a line of severe thunderstorms continues to move across north Louisiana.

The weather service office in Shreveport reports Monday’s storms have downed trees in several DeSoto Parish locations.

Meteorologist Davyon Hill says Monday’s storms will bring high winds and rain over much of the state.

Hill says high winds late Sunday night downed trees in Caddo, Webster and Sabine parishes.

A tornado watch is in effect for a large part of north Louisiana until 2 p.m.
