Teague

Ora Robertson Teague departed this life on June 12 to go to her heavenly home. She was born Sept. 11, 1926 in Heflin to parents Lola and David Robertson, and was the youngest of 10 children.

Her early years were spent working at BellSouth as a switchboard operator and later as a supervisor until her retirement. She was an avid gardener all her life and loved playing old hymns on the piano. Ora was a member of First Baptist Church Minden for over 50 years.

In her later years, she enjoyed the visits from the church’s homebound ministry.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Wilfred Teague, and all of her siblings. Left to cherish her memory are a son, Barry Teague and wife Pam of Minden; daughter, Brenda Teague Moore and husband Bennie of Sterlington; four grandchildren, Chad Teague and wife Anna Marie, Clay Teague and wife Sarah, Stephanie Moore Bryant and husband Michael, Stacey Moore Collinsworth and husband Daniel, as well as six great-grandchildren, Alex, Dylan, Sadie Mae, Jack, Anabelle and Adelyn Grace, and one great-great-grandson, Peyton.

Graveside services to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Gardens of Memory in Minden with Bro Steve Gilley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, St. Jude, or Baptist Children’s Home.
