Parish teams take field to start regular season

Minden baseball

The Minden Crimson Tide start the regular season with three games in the North DeSoto tournament which begins Thursday in Stonewall.

Minden takes on Southwood at 4 p.m. Thursday, North Webster Friday at 6 p.m. and concludes the weekend against St. Mary’s Saturday at 11 a.m.

Lakeside baseball

The Warriors also begin their season in the North DeSoto tournament. Thursday at 6 p.m. the Warriors face St. Mary’s, followed by a Saturday double-header against North Webster on Saturday at 3 p.m. and North DeSoto at 7 p.m.

North Webster baseball

The Knights (1-0) began their regular season with a 10-3 victory over Southwood. North Webster faces Downsville in the North DeSoto tournament, Thursday at 4 p.m., then take on Minden at 6 p.m. Friday and finish their weekend against Lakeside on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Doyline baseball

The Panthers begin their season Monday, Feb. 29 when they travel to take on the Homer Pelicans at 5 p.m.

Glenbrook baseball

The Apaches (0-3) are off to a slow start, but will look to get back on track March 1 against Riverfield Academy in Rayville at 6 p.m.

Minden softball

The Minden Lady Tider softball team gets their season underway today when they travel to Benton for a game against the Lady Tigers at 5 p.m. Following that game, Minden returns home for a contest with Union Parish on Thursday at 5 p.m.

Lakeside softball

The Lady Warriors started their season with an 11-1 loss to North Webster, but will look to rebound at home against Weston on Thursday at 5 p.m.

North Webster softball

The Lady Knights (1-0) will look to stay unbeaten against the Doyline Lady Panthers when they square off in Springhill Thursday at 5 p.m.

Doyline softball

The Lady Panthers face North Webster to start their season, and then travel to Blanchard for the Northwood-Southwood tournament where they will face Loyola, Oak Hill and D’Arbonne Woods.
