Students from around the region had the opportunity to explore the offerings of Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC) during a recent Junior/Senior Day event, hosted by the college. The event, aimed at providing high school students with insights into potential career paths and educational opportunities, was met with enthusiasm from both attendees and organizers.

The open house-style event welcomed junior and senior students, offering them a glimpse into the various technical and vocational programs offered by NLTCC. From automotive technology to nursing, students had the chance to explore different career paths and engage with faculty and staff to learn more about the programs available.

A highlight of the event was the participation of student volunteers who assisted in various capacities, from guiding tours to providing information about the college’s offerings. Their dedication and enthusiasm contributed to the success of the event, creating a welcoming and informative atmosphere for visiting students.

The community also played a vital role in supporting the event, with local organizations stepping up to sponsor refreshments for the students. First Baptist Church of Minden, First Methodist Church of Minden, and Minden Coca-Cola generously provided pizza and drinks, ensuring that attendees were fueled for a day of exploration and discovery.
