Police execute search warrant, arrest Minden woman

by Minden Press-Herald

The Minden Police Department’s Special Response Team (SRT) executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Middle Landing Street on March 27, 2024. During the operation, officers located Deanne Clark, 56, at the residence. Clark was informed of her arrest due to two active warrants for distribution of a controlled dangerous substance (natural marijuana) through the Minden Police Department. She was then handcuffed and placed in a patrol vehicle.

A detective made contact with Clark while she was seated in the patrol vehicle, showing and reading her the search warrant pertaining to the residence. Clark indicated she understood the provisions of the search warrant.

Following this, the officers searched the residence per the provisions of the warrant. In the living room area, the detective discovered a wooden container on a glass table beside the sofa. Inside the wooden container was a small plastic box-like container (clear and blue) containing suspected methamphetamines, two black digital scales, and two glass pipe smoking apparatuses. Photos of the contents inside the wooden container were taken, and the items were subsequently placed in an evidence bag by Sgt Smith.

Clark was additionally charged with possession of a CDS schedule II (methamphetamines) and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Minden Police Department for booking on the aforementioned charges before being transported to BCC.

The suspected methamphetamines, weighing approximately 0.3 grams, were sealed in a clear evidence bag to be turned into the property room at the Minden Police Department. The two glass pipe smoking apparatuses and the two digital scales were also sealed in a clear evidence bag for the property room.
