Police Jury approves renewals, property sales at March meeting

The Webster Parish Police Jury approved beer and video poker renewals, board appointments, and the sale of adjudicated properties during its regular meeting Tuesday, March 3, at the Webster Parish Courthouse Annex.

All jurors were present except Nancy Hines. All agenda items were approved unanimously.

Jurors approved payment of invoices pending review by Juror Beverly Kennon for Monday, March 9, 2026, and adopted minutes from the February 3, 2026 Road Committee, Finance Committee, General Government Committee, and regular meeting.

The jury also approved 2026 beer and video poker renewals for Minden Truckstop & Casino, located at 1629 Highway 531 in Minden, and Pot’ O’ Gold Casino, located at 230 Goodwill Road in Minden.

Board appointments were approved for the Sarepta Water Works District. Allen Timmons was appointed to a four-year term set to expire in February 2030.

Jurors adopted Ordinance 1023-003 authorizing the parish to sell adjudicated property identified as parcel 124422, located at 719 Main Street in Springhill. They also adopted Ordinance 1023-004 authorizing the sale of parcel 121526, located at 241 Water Avenue in Cotton Valley.

The Webster Parish Police Jury meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30 AM at the courthouse annex. Meetings are livestreamed at www.websterparishla.org. The public is welcome to attend.
