Still available via telephone
The Webster Parish Police Jury doors will be closed throughout the remainder of the week as the police jury continues the process of moving to the Courthouse Annex.
Secretary and Treasurer Ronda Carnahan said that while they may not be able conduct full business during the moving period, the police jury will still be available to contact by phone.
“It’ll go to our voicemails, and as we’re getting things together throughout the day we’ll check them,” she said. “We’ll be here, but we’re not going to be able to do too much business. We can answer questions and give information for building permits and that type of thing.”
Formerly the Regions Bank building, the Webster Parish Courthouse Annex was purchased by the police jury in 2008.
Starting in the new year, it will serve as the new home for police jury offices and conference rooms.
“[The move] is challenging,” Carnahan said. “It’s a very busy time for us at the end of the year. But we’re working it out.”
