Prayer at the Park reaches for unity

Law enforcement officers and community members gathered at Ewell Park Saturday morning as prayer was offered for their safety. Prayer was also offered for Minden’s children as they start school this week and city leaders as well. Pastors Josh Beshea, of Minden Baptist Church, and Jacques Mitchell, of Fresh Fire Church of Minden, prayed for unity, for law enforcement and for Minden as a whole. In appreciation for law enforcement, free breakfast was offered Friday to law enforcement officers and first responders by the Minden Council on Aging and Professional Home Health Services of Minden.
