Former Minden High and Louisiana Tech star L’Jarius Sneed shined in his first game back with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sneed led the team in tackles with eight total (seven solo, one assist) in a 31-10 victory over the Denver Broncos Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium.
Sneed, a cornerback, signed a one-year deal with Kansas City in June after two injury-shortened seasons with the Tennessee Titans.
“Our secondary is flying around-it’s great to get 38 (L’Jarius Sneed) back in the mix,” Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid told reporters after the game. “Sneed, he might have been the happiest guy out there to have an opportunity to get back on the field and play. And he’s going to be real sore tomorrow. And he sure did a nice job, as they all did.”
Former North Webster and LSU star linebacker Devin White had three total tackles (two solo) in debut with the Detroit Lions. The Lions defeated the New Orleans Saints 31-30 in overtime.
