My dad is a police officer. Here’s what it’s like to grow up in a family like mine:
As a little girl, I felt so much pride knowing my dad was out protecting our city from crime; I’m now 23 years old and that pride
remains, but I can’t he
Protected, but Scared

Hanna, this is a special letter to your dad and the world. I thank your daddy everyday, I may not tell him, but know I am so thankful for what he does to protect us. I pray for him and all his co worker daily to make it home safe to their families.
AWESOMELY SAID, HANNA!!
That is so true and so awesome that you open your heart like that..i love your post!!
I, too am an officer’s daughter… My Daddy retired years ago from Bastrop PD, where I grew up. I remember feeling the same way, so much pride, yet so isolated at the same time. The only difference is that things were a little different then. People had more respect for law enforcement back then! Thank you for this letter and hang in there!
