Redeemed & Restyled event to benefit Amadea, Phillip’s Cottage

Two local nonprofits dedicated to helping women build stable and independent futures will join forces later this month for a community fundraiser celebrating restoration, hope, and new beginnings.

Amadea, Southern Ivy Emporium,  and Purvéy  will host Redeemed & Restyled: A Vintage Fashion Benefit on June 27 from 4 PM to 8 PM at The Venue on Pearl. Proceeds from the event will support the missions of both Amadea and Phillip’s Cottage as they continue serving women and families throughout the region.

Founded by Angela Yarborough, Amadea is a nonprofit organization focused on helping women and teen girls find stability, healing, and renewed purpose through mentorship, creative engagement, dignified employment opportunities, and life-skills development.

Phillip’s Cottage, located in Minden, provides transitional housing for women with children who have graduated from Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge, helping them move toward independence and long-term stability.

The event will begin with a marketplace from 4 PM to 6 PM featuring vintage vendors, collectors, artisans, boutiques, and creative small businesses, including many from the Minden area. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction benefiting both nonprofits.

From 6 PM to 8 PM, guests will enjoy a Fashion Show & Tea featuring vintage fashions from Purvéy Minden. The evening will also include an inspirational testimony from a woman whose personal journey reflects the impact of restoration, support, and community investment.

In addition to the featured activities, attendees can enjoy hors d’oeuvres, fellowship, door prizes, and opportunities to learn more about the work being done by both organizations.

Organizers said the event is designed not only to raise funds, but also to highlight the power of second chances and the importance of supporting women as they work toward healing, employment, independence, and hope.

Early Bird tickets are available for only $25 through June 20, with all proceeds helping Amadea and Phillip’s Cottage continue their efforts to serve women and families in need.
