Funeral services for Rev. Paul W. Merritt will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 10 a.m. at First United Pentecostal Church at City on the Hill in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Jeff Ramsey, Rev. Mike Hudspeth, and Rev. John Hargrove officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at the church.
Paul was born October 15, 1946 in Vallejo, California and entered into rest May 18, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church at City on the Hill, American Legion, VFW, and American Association of Professional Landmen. Paul served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam as a medic.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Merritt of Minden, sons, Paul Darin Merritt and wife Charlene of Dallas, Texas, and John Anthony (Andy) Merritt and wife Becky of Baton Rouge, brother, Larry Merritt and wife Nelwynn of Sibley, and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Wooten, Richard Williams, Caleb Hill, Len Caciappo, Dustin Hanson, and Junior Guthrie.
