Rex Allen Hightower passed away unexpectedly on September, 16 2023 at the age of 48. Our family was not expecting for Allen’s life to be cut short so soon, we are all devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed.
Allen was born on May 28,1975 to the parents of Geraldine and Marvin Hightower in Minden, Louisiana. He graduated from Glenbrook High School where he made life long friends. He immediately began working for his family and later began his career in the Oilfield Business. He had a strong work ethic that is rarely witnessed these days.
Allen was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. He loved the land and prepping for hunting season for himself and helping his friends do the same. He shared this love with all of his family and taught his children well as they share the same passion that will be passed down to generations to come.
Allen met his wife, Courtney Lafitte, in 2010 and they spent every moment with each other since. They shared a bond that most people can only hope to experience. Together they have a strong and beautiful daughter Hallie Hightower and he would be proud of her strength. Allen’s oldest child, Jared Hightower, shares his father’s same love of the outdoors and also is growing to become the same outgoing and respected person that his father was for his friends and the community. Both Hallie and Jared were the light of their father’s life.
Allen is preceded in death by grandparents Gerald Palmer, Katherine Palmer, Rex A Hightower, and Verna Dee Hightower
Allen is remembered by Courtney Lafitte (Wife), Jared Hightower (Son), Hallie Hightower (Daughter), Suzann Hays (Sister), Geraldine Hightower (Mother), Adam Hays (Brother-in-law), Mical Brunson (Cousin / Brother), Alan & Karen Dowden (Parents- in- law) Marvin Hightower (Father), Barry Hightower (Uncle), Eunice Ripp (Aunt)
He was also greatly loved and will be greatly missed by his many friends.
