A ribbon cutting was held December 2 at The Willow Shed, a retail and event space located at 457 State Road 531.
The business, which officially opened in September, features an event space, antiques, collectibles, shoes, crafts, art and other merchandise.
The Willow Shed was designed as a space where local makers, entrepreneurs and artisans can sell goods, host classes and participate in community activities. The venue offers handcrafted items, home décor and art pieces and has been promoted as a gathering place for events and workshops, such as the upcoming Journaling Embellishments class, offered by Artisan Studio..
The Willow Shed is also offering free gift wrapping through December 19. Any donations made during the service period will be directed to the St. Jude fundraiser in January.
The venue continues to promote itself as a destination for locally made goods, creative workshops and community gatherings for residents and visitors across Webster Parish.
