Ribbon cutting held for new thrift store in Minden

by Amber McDown

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday, January 23, for Forever Humble, a new thrift store located at 710 Homer Road next to Minden Seafood.

Owner Sarah McClain said merchandise comes from community donations as well as items acquired through storage unit purchases and estate sales. She plans to install a donation box outside the business in the near future.

McClain said she donates items to individuals and families who are experiencing disasters and need basic necessities. She also hopes to establish a nonprofit organization in the future.

The store features a selection of vintage décor, furniture and other unique items. Forever Humble is open from 10 AM to 6 PM seven days a week.
